L'arc en ciel London Concert date confirmed + Cinema screening of concert in Japan set for London in December

L'arc en ciel have just announced that they will be playing their first ever concert in England at the IndigO2 venue located inside the O2 Arena complex in London on Wednesday 12th April 2012!


The venue has a capacity of 2,400. Tickets are not currently on sale but as soon as they are, we'll be sure to report on it!

Also announced is a "special 2-hour version" of the "20th L'Anniversary LIVE" held on May 28 and 29 in Tokyo earlier this year will be screened at the Apollo Piccadilly Cinema in London on December 6th. This concert chronicled the 20 year history of the band and saw 100,000 people congregate over two nights at the Tokyo Ajinomoto Stadium. The concerts also saw the new single 'XXX' premiered. This single that topped the Japanese music charts is now available digitally here in the UK.

This is a great opportunity to get hyped up for the London concert in April. Tickets are not currently available, but again we will keep you updated with any information regarding this screening and the London concert.

'Kanon x Kanon' London concert tickets on sale now!

Following the announcement of Kanon x Kanon coming to London part of their European tour in November the details regarding tickets have been revealed and most importantly are on sale now! Full details below -

Time - 7pm (It's not known if this is the start time or the time that doors will open. The listing doesn't specify.)

Music News: 'Versailles Philharmonic Quintet' set to play in London in October!

Following a successful concert in the same venue last year, Versailles Philharmonic Quintet return to grace the London O2 Islington Academy on October 2nd as part of the European leg on their 'Holy Grail 2011 world Tour' with a night of their heavy melodic arrangements.

L'arc~en~Ciel to play concert in London!

Some pretty big news by all accounts given how much we like this band, but Japanese rockers L'arc~en~ciel have revealed they are set to embark on a world tour at some point in the near future (meaning in 2012) as part of their 20th Anniversary "L'Anniversary" celebratory world tour.

The band have confirmed on their website (see screenshot below) that the world tour will be stopping in Europe, but this time aside from Paris (where they played their inaugural show in Europe back in May of 2008) they will be playing a concert in good old London, England!

No more information is currently available at this time. But believe us when we say we WILL keep you updated on this.

X-Japan sells out in 10 minutes! But if you haven't got tickets, there's still time as the venue has been changed!

Following the news of X-Japan set to perform in the UK for the first time in their history the concert sold out in ten minutes after tickets went on sale earlier today (Friday 15th April).

If you weren't lucky enough to get tickets, have no fear as the venue has been changed to meet the phenomenal demand!

The date of the concert will remain the same (Tuesday 28th June) but the venue has now been upgraded to the Sheppards Bush Empire. A venue with a capacity of 2000 people!

So if you want to get tickets for the show, we strongly suggest you don't delay for what is set to be a monumental occasion for all who attend!

Girugamesh London signing session announced!

In just over a week, Friday 18th March, one of the premiere bands of the Japanese music scene "Girugamesh" will return to the UK for a one night only concert as part of their "Here we Go!!" world tour in support of the groups recent album release "GO". The show is taking place at the Islington Academy and tickets are still available at the cost of £25 (excluding any potential booking fees.)

However if you have ever wanted the chance to meet the band outside of the concert environment, now might be your chance to do just that as the band have announced a special signing session the day before the concert on Thursday 17th March!

The session will be at 'The Pipeline' in east London near Liverpool Street Station. But, it should be noted there is a very limited amount of time to meet the band and there are strict guidelines for those wanting to attend this event too! Below is the official press release regarding the signing session:

"Girugamesh London Signing Session
Japan Underground and Gan-Shin Records have teamed up to present you with a rare signing session from Japanese rock outfit Girugamesh!

The band's time is extremely limited, and as such the following conditions apply;
* All ages are welcome, under 14s supervised by a responsible adult,
* Signing will take place for one hour only between 5-6pm,
* One item for signing per person,
* No photography or video footage to be taken of the band,
* Please keep any interaction with the band to a minimum, if you take too long you will be moved on to speed up the queue.

Security will be at the venue, and if they or the band feel that fans are not well behaved or adhering to the rules set above, they will end the session early.

Merchandise from the band will be available for sale at the venue, and Girugamesh's live DVD Crazy, Crazy, Crazy will be shown on the venue's projector. So bring friends, and feel free to chill out in the bar afterwards, listening to the band's tunes, watching their DVD and getting ready for their live show the following day!
